AS ONE OF THE TOP TWENTY ARTISTES(STARS OF TOMORROW - OVERALL) IN TRINIDAD & TOBAGO, FOR THE YEAR 2008. HIS EXCELLENCY PAID GLOWING TRIBUTE TO ALL THE TOP ACHIEVERS IN EACH CATEGORY.

Popular local/international teenaged Gospel artiste Winsie-Ann Cuffie was among the prestigious Top Twenty Artistes - 2008(Stars of Tomorrow) honoured by the National Youth Action Committee, in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs. Winsie-Ann’s hit song and video, “Most High”, were particularly instrumental in winning her the coveted spot. The twenty stars include other famous names such as Kay Allen(Digicel Rising Star - 2008), Rizon and Gospel artiste Positive.

The Top Twenty Artistes, along with winners in sports and academic fields, have been celebrated at various functions with awards--both cash and kind--along with accolades from dignitaries, both local and foreign.

His Excellency President George Maxwell Richards paid special tribute to the achievers as he offered his personal congratulations at President’s House on Wednesday January 14. His Excellency was high in praise of what he called the remarkable accomplishments of role model young people who, through discipline and hard work, have used their God-given talents as shining lights to illuminate a dark world. He challenged the artiste to continue to aim for the sky. He said that he himself was honoured to meet with them.

The Top Twenty Stars were also celebrated at a high profile Ceremony in Port-of-Spain on Sunday January 18, 2009 where each artiste gave the specially invited capacity audience a taste of their award-winning renditions. Special awards were then presented to each winner. Winsie-Ann thrilled the crowd with her infectious “Most High”, with her cast of beautifully choreographed energetic dancers. Former Young King Sean Daniel, was also an artiste at the Ceremony and T&T Cricket Captain and West Indies batsman Daren Ganga, was given a special award for his contribution to cricket.
