A WORLD AIDS DAY MESSAGE

‘BIOLOGICAL’ WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION THREATENS HUMANITY'S EXISTENCE

At my age (just finished 15) I haven’t been on this planet very long, but it certainly pains me quite deeply to see the horror story our world is degenerating into. Immorality, crime, narcotics, dysfunctional families, social decay, psycosocial and socio- economic agony, all add to the worrying scenario.

Tomorrow, the international community marks World AIDS Day. Even as we do so, we note that the ravages of HIV/AIDS and the frightening degree of suffering and death which this plague has so far left behind, appear to qualify the disease for the status of a modern-day “biological” weapon of mass destruction.

We must, however, be thankful for the many initiatives and efforts being made to contain this monster. I am indeed grateful for the many valued opportunities I have had, in TT and abroad (including Gov’t and United Nations fora) to offer assistance, via my message and music.
The following are the lyrics of one of my more popular – and impacting – songs in this thrust, entitled:
